Rather than packing fifteen students with vastly different abilities into a stuffy downtown office space, we cap group study at four students in our high-tech virtual classrooms. We know that  for something as complex and variegated as standardized test preparation, the only viable learning environment is that of a small group in which all students possess similar starting ability. Only in such a way are all students free to equally and co-beneficially participate using maieutics. Many of our students who initially choose one of our competitors attribute the large group setting as the primary reason for their poor experience, and we likewise caution you to be very wary of the claim that you will see a huge increase in your scores while studying in such an environment.

Preparing you for college begins with intelligent planning. With this in mind, we dedicate considerable attention to constructing a customized program for you based on your individual needs. This starts with diagnostic testing and a comprehensive review of your transcript and PSAT scores, which are then juxtaposed alongside data showing trends in admissions for your desired programs of interest, and revealing patterns of hiring that point to the reputation of a given program's  curriculum for entry into target graduate schools.

Rather than deliberately slowing down the presentation of key concepts as we sadly suspect many of our competitors do, we enthusiastically teach material as quickly as you are able to learn it, reinforcing understanding through strategic homework assignments. All prospective team members must pass multiple exams, lead numerous mock-teaching sessions, and submit to regular and ongoing coaching and development. Beyond this, all of our contracted team members must undergo thorough academic, criminal, and credit background checks, so you can rest assured that you will be working with only the highest quality person.

Our founder, Mr Ryan Hurst, is a nineteen-year veteran of standardized test preparation, having coached countless students to the upper percentiles on the SAT, SAT Subject Tests, ACT, SSAT, TOEFL, and GRE. Washington Test Prep is an extension of what he began, as the demand for excellence in test preparation could no longer be satisfied by just one person. All Washington Test Prep coaches undergo a thorough training in advanced critical reading theory, tone analysis, and grammatical and stylistic conventions and are fully trained to teach their respective test. One is brought on board primarily by virtue of her talent and secondarily by virtue of her academic background.
